April 11, 2024 By Turf & Rec
New artificial turf fields are ready to open for the season at Oakville, Ont.’s Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.
Soccer, lacrosse and field hockey will be played on the fields. Additionally, two natural fields, including one dedicated for cricket, are coming along and are expected to open for play in May.
Previously called North Park, the complex will include a community centre and library that are expected to open in 2025.
Net-zero carbon and low-energy designs have gone into their construction through renewable energy technologies and green building standards.
