Ground broken to begin construction at Oakville, Ont. recreation complex

Ground has officially been broken to begin construction of a new recreation and culture complex in Oakville, Ont. A community park is slated to open at the site in 2023 while a community centre and library are to follow a year later. The expanding park is to also feature a cricket field, two lit sports fields – including one with artificial turf – and a children’s playground. Construction of the park’s first phase is set to get underway in July.
