Saskatoon golf course celebrates its 60th anniversary with fresh-looking grounds
90,000 rounds played annually in 1980s

Saskatoon’s Holiday Park Golf Course is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. In the early 1980s, the municipal golf course was reputed to be Canada’s busiest course, accommodating upwards of 90,000 rounds a year. Today, about 60,000 rounds are played there annually as newer courses in the area have absorbed some of the burden. One of the keys to the club’s success is the condition of its grounds which continue to look fresh after six decades.
