April 4, 2024  By Turf & Rec

A new sports complex in Cambridge, Ont., which will include three artificial turf fields and four natural surfaces, is set to open for play this month.

The fields were to originally cost $11.7 million, but an additional $1.3 million was requested to complete the project and meet the expectations of sponsors.

The complex includes two synthetic fields, another dual-sport artificial field meant for soccer and rugby, and four natural turf fields.

Conestoga College is a partner in the project and will use the fields for its soccer and rugby programs. Construction began two years ago. The complex’s grand opening will be celebrated June 15.
