Cambridge, Ont. soccer complex construction contract awarded to Gateman-Milloy

Gateman-Milloy Inc. of Kitchener has been awarded the contract to build a new soccer complex in nearby Cambridge.

City council approved the $11.7-million contract for the Fountain Street Soccer Complex. The facility, to be built at the corner of Fountain Street and Linden Drive, will include an artificial turf field, a natural turf field and lighting.

Council will also pour money into a PGA Canada Tour golf competition scheduled for September at Deer Ridge Golf Club. The city expects the event will benefit the local economy by $2-4 million.
