Soccer community in North Vancouver not pleased by artificial turf projects placed on deferral list

North Vancouver’s soccer community isn’t too happy with what’s listed for deferral by the district. As a consequence of North Vancouver’s annual budget plans, some municipal projects are to be retained while others are listed for deferral, including the construction of a new artificial turf sports field at Inter River Park and the conversion of two gravel fields into synthetic turf fields at Kilmer and Myrtle parks. A fourth artificial turf project, slated for Ecole Handsworth Secondary School, wasn’t even mentioned on the district’s agenda which has unnerved the North Shore Girls Soccer Club.
