Vancouver Island’s North Saanich to get two new artificial turf soccer fields

Announcement comes after 15 years of trying to replace natural grass fields

After 15 years of trying to replace natural grass soccer fields in North Saanich, B.C., two new artificial turf fields are about to be constructed at Blue Heron Park. The project’s cost is about $1.5 million and will prevent the local soccer association from having to cancel games and practices due to poor field conditions.
