Residential development proposed for parts of Gallagher’s Canyon nine-hole golf course

The nine-hole golf course at Gallagher’s Canyon in Kelowna, B.C. could be giving up some of its property to make for residential and commercial development.

It’s been proposed to the city to give approval for development on two sections at Gallagher’s Canyon’s Pinnacle course.

The municipality is reviewing the proposal for 21 town homes and a 19-unit apartment building that would also include retail space.

If the project is to proceed, the city would have to rezone the property, award a development variance permit and make changes to its official community plan.
