New apartments dropped from Woodbridge, Ont. golf course development application

Community backlash from an application to rezone the Country Club golf course property in Woodbridge, Ont. has resulted in a concession that downsizes the bid. Clubhouse Development Inc. had initially wanted to build 475 detached houses, 124 townhouses and up 616 apartments. The inclusion of apartments has since been dropped, which one city councillor says will ease the traffic burden.
