More U.S. states are considering following California’s lead on banning gas-powered lawn and landscaping equipment in an effort to reduce emissions. New York and Illinois are among the states contemplating a ban. The Fredonia Group market researchers suggest the demand for electric-powered equipment could become a $14-billion industry by 2024.
