Online petition launched to save Toronto’s municipal golf courses from being repurposed
Vegetable gardens, playgrounds among new ideas
September 27, 2021 By Turf & Rec

The City of Toronto’s municipal golf courses are at risk of being repurposed or reduced in size, prompting an online petition by Save Toronto Golf Courses that will be presented to city council. The petition states: “Interest groups are lobbying Council and are being included in the review to have these properties converted to vegetable gardens and/or playgrounds and other uses which will not include golf. Without these courses, there will be no affordable/accessible public golf left in Toronto.” To access the petition, click here.
