One of London, Ont.’s premier sports parks was hit with vandalism last week, with panels and hydro services stolen, amounting to more than $50,000.
“These guys are not rookies,” Dave Cambridge, of the City of London, said. “They’re not amateurs. They knew what they were doing.”
The incident occurred Sept. 20, and Cambridge says he figures the culprits spent upwards of eight hours at their task. Lighting was taken and wires were pulled.
The scene of the crime was City Wide Sports Park, the site of two artificial turf fields and two baseball diamonds.

Cambridge wished to notify other nearby municipalities to be on the alert for possible subsequent crimes.
