Golfers’ group wants Thunder Bay city council to keep municipal courses public

Group concerned city could sell land for housing

Thunder Bay’s program services review is suggesting one of the city’s public golf courses could be shut down, and the idea isn’t sitting well with a group of golfers. The Committee to Keep Golf Public in Thunder Bay will be making a presentation to council Wednesday to fight for the city’s two municipal courses to remain public and not fall into the hands of developers.
