Federal government supporting Dieppe, N.B. field’s conversion to artificial turf
Soccer president says game will be more competitive

Construction could begin this fall on a Dieppe, N.B. sports field that will be converted to artificial turf with such additional upgrades as lighting and fencing. The federal government is supporting the project with an infusion of $2 million. The president of user group Soccer Dieppe said the transition to artificial turf will make the game more competitive, noting Dieppe is the only club in the AAA Division that has been playing on natural grass.
