June 14, 2018 – Female soccer players forced to play on artificial turf fields during the 2015 Women’s World Cup in Canada are owed an apology, according to a U.S. lawyer who represented a coalition of elite female players in an unsuccessful battle to play on natural grass three years ago. The news comes after it was announced the 2026 Men’s World Cup will be played entirely on natural grass.
