Controversial sale of Brantford’s Arrowdale Golf Course is now a done deal
Years-long saga included site occupation, litigation
September 2, 2022 By Turf & Rec
The controversial sale of Brantford, Ont.’s former Arrowdale Golf Course is officially a done deal. Bogged down in litigation the past couple of years, it was announced Wednesday by the city that a deal to sell almost 32 acres of the property for $14 million has been confirmed. City council voted 8-3 two years ago to sell the municipal golf course property, igniting objections from several residents who wanted the course to remain open. The matter spiralled into an occupation of the property and litigation.
