Group occupying closed Arrowdale Golf Course are in it for the long haul
Six Nations man says his tent searched by security
October 15, 2021 By CBC News
A spokesperson for the group of people occupying the closed Arrowdale Golf Course in Brantford, Ont. says he will remain on site for as long as the grass grows. Trevor Bomberry, an Oneida man from the Six Nations of the Grand River, said security guards searched his pitched tent Wednesday morning while others confronted him. Members of the Six Nations and city residents have banded together to occupy the shuttered municipal golf course since last Saturday. The city wishes to sell a portion of the property for possible development and turn the remainder into parkland.
