Collingwood ball diamond to undergo $320,000 improvement project
Diamond is more than 45 years old
November 8, 2023 By Turf & Rec
One of Collingwood, Ont.’s baseball diamonds is getting a much-needed facelift.
The more than 45-year-old Kinsmen diamond at Heritage Park will be getting a new fence and backstop at a cost of about $320,000.
The diamond improvements were sanctioned four years ago, but tenders for the work were considered too expensive to justify. Collingwood Minor Baseball will be contributing to the project.
Work is expected to be completed next month.
