City, Catholic school board partner for high-end field and track facility in Mississauga
Students have been without an outdoor sports field for a long time

A high-end track and field facility is coming to Mississauga, complete with an artificial turf soccer field surrounded by a four-lane rubberized track at Anaka Park in Malton.
The project is a partnership between the city and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. The facility’s location will border Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Secondary School and will be available for use by both its students and the community at large.
Both parties will share the cost of the $2-million facility which is currently in the pre-design stage. The field and track is expected to open for use in late 2024.
Ascension students have been without an outdoor sports facility for a long time.
