Artificial turf field opens in Port Coquitlam with improved drainage, safety and playability

A new artificial turf sports field at Port Coquitlam’s Gates Park is ready to accommodate the city’s Saints field lacrosse team. The field is also marked for soccer, field hockey and field sports events. Playability, safety and drainage have been improved with the installation. The former artificial surface has been donated for use as new playing surface for Indigenous youth on Vancouver Island. Gates Park is to become a state-of-the-art sports hub and become BC Soccer’s new base of operations.
