Surrey, B.C. completes two of five artificial turf sports field resurfacing projects

The City of Surrey, B.C. has completed two of five artificial turf resurfacing projects on municipal sports fields.

The fields at Hjorth Road Park and Cloverdale Athletic Park are now complete. A capital projects program approved last year identified five fields in need of playing surface replacement.

The remaining fields at Newton Athletic Park, Tom Binnie Park and South Surrey Athletic Park are slated to be completed in 2022.

The fields are in high demand by local user groups. The city has the most artificial fields in the region available for public use.
