Work on $16.6M sports complex in Brandon, Man. is both on time and under budget

A new sports complex in Brandon, Man. is expected to open in the spring of 2025, which is not only on time but under budget as well.

The $16.6-million project will include a FIFA-sized soccer field, 11 x 11 soccer fields, a 9 x 9 soccer field, a cricket pitch and a disc golf course. Other amenities include a field house with washrooms, change rooms and concessions.

The project is reported to be $400,000 under budget.

Construction began last spring with the installation of underground infrastructure, a storm water retention pond, dikes and land grading.
