Windsor to discuss possible new $2.5-million artificial turf sports field during budget talks

Discussion of a new municipal artificial turf sports field in Windsor, Ont. will be part of the city’s 2022 capital budget deliberations.

The $2.5-million field has been proposed for a site west of the WFCU Centre. Discussion of the potential project has been set during budget deliberations because of a potential opportunity that may become available at that time.

The Essex Soccer Association has pledged $400,000 toward the field project.
