$6-million artificial turf sports field opens to positive feedback at Calgary’s Genesis Centre

Officials are praising the virtues of a new $6-million artificial turf project that opened Sunday at Calgary’s Genesis Centre. The field, which began construction in April, replaced a natural turf field at the south end of the centre. Sherry King, executive director of the Genesis Centre, said it had poured rain just prior to the field’s opening, noting the field was completely dry within a half-hour afterward.
