Aug. 7, 2019 – Stacked pallets and a sofa bed were among the items set on fire Tuesday on the artificial sports field at Nanaimo District Secondary School, causing an estimated $30,000 to $40,000 in damages. The vandalism is expected to disrupt local soccer leagues and upcoming football camps.
