Sudbury sod grower acquired by local construction company

North Range Sod Co., based in the Sudbury, Ont. area, is under new ownership.

Wilson Hope Ltd., a Sudbury-based construction company, recently acquired the s0d farm which grows 200 acres of Kentucky bluegrass sod. The harvested sod is supplied to homeowners, landscapers and contractors throughout Ontario.

North Range has been supplying sod for more than 40 years.

Wilson Hope noted the acquisition provides much-needed space allowing the WH group of companies to establish new headquarters. The company added North Range Sod now has the resources to maximize capacity for the future.
