Lawn height bylaw amendment being drafted to allow Sudbury residents to join No Mow May campaign
Current bylaw prohibits lawns to exceed 20 centimetres in height
March 6, 2023 By Turf & Rec

A bylaw amendment is being drafted for approval in Greater Sudbury that would allow residents to leave their lawns untrimmed during the month of May. The current city bylaw prohibits lawns, including weeds and other vegetation, to grow beyond 20 centimetres in height. If council approves the amendment at its meeting on March 21, Sudbury will officially join in on the No Mow May campaign designed to attract pollinators.
