Soccer ‘field of dreams’ in London ready to be developed for residential housing

London’s Marconi Club soccer pitch, considered a field of dreams for the city’s Italian community since its opening in the early 1980s, is ready to be developed for housing three years after its final game was played. During its heyday, the field was considered to be one of the finest playing surfaces in the city and served several generations of Italian-Canadians over the years.
