Revelstoke, B.C. grants approval for construction of regulation-size cricket field for local club
Club has been playing on smaller-sized, poorly maintained field

Approval has been granted for the construction of a permanent cricket pitch in Revelstoke, B.C.
Members of the Revelstoke Cricket Club have been playing and practising on a field adjacent to the town’s Old School Eatery, but it’s not set up for proper play. Not only is the field improperly maintained, its size is inadequate for regulation play.
A location at Centennial Park has been identified as an ideal site to build a regulation-size cricket facility. It’s estimated the field’s build will cost $10,000. The cricket club has begun a fundraising campaign to raise the money.
The pitch will require the pouring of a concrete pad with an artificial turf mat placed atop.
