Nine-hole Saanich, B.C. course that closed in 2015 on selling block for $9.5 million
Some have expressed interest in reviving property for golf

The former Royal Oak Golf Course is Saanich, B.C. is up for sale. Shut down in 2015, the nine-hole course is listed for $9.5 million.
Area residents have since pondered about a potential use for the 27-acre property which has been used since its closure as a popular walking and recreational spot. There has been interest among some for reviving the property as a golf course while other prospective buyers have an interest in developing the land.
The golf course was considered not to be economically viable at the time of its closure. The site includes a clubhouse.
The president of the Royal Oak Community Association said he feels the property could be rezoned for agricultural use.
