New park featuring open turf play area opens to public in East Gwillimbury, Ont.

A new $700,000 park has opened in East Gwillimbury, Ont., featuring an open turf play area, playground structures and a half basketball court.

Called Cupples Farm Park, the facility is located in the new Oxford Homes development in Mount Albert.

Still to come is a planned 700-metre trail to be constructed during the fall and winter months. It will be located between the park and a stormwater management pond.

Development charges funded the park project.
