New cricket pitch opens for play in Town of North Tecumseth, Ont.

A new $15,000 cricket pitch in Beeton, Ont. has opened for play. Members of the Dufferin Cricket Club recently christened the 10-feet-by-70-feet pitch.

The cricket field has been installed at Mel Mitchell Field and addresses the area’s growing diversity and need for recreational opportunities.

User groups are responsible for chalking their own lines at the field.

The cost of the pitch was included in the Town of North Tecumseth’s budget for this year.
