Headingley, Man.’s John Blumberg municipal golf course – declared surplus in 2013 by the City of Winnipeg – could be used as a golf course during the summer and serve as a venue for cross-country skiing and skating in the winter, a city councillor suggests. Kevin Klein, councillor for Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood, hopes the sale of the golf course is put on hold, and plans to forward a motion to remove the course from the city’s surplus list.
