B.C. sod grower experiencing sinkholes on his property following pipeline drilling
Most recent of five sinkholes measured nine metres in depth
June 19, 2023 By Turf & Rec

A British Columbia sod grower is concerned about the number of sinkholes that have appeared on or near his property since April.
Rob Rindt is also a Langley Township councillor. Trans Mountain has been drilling across the road from his property for a pipeline expansion. The sinkholes began to appear after the drilling started.
Rindt told news media he’s fearful a deep sinkhole could be an accident waiting to happen with his children. The most recent of five sinkholes on or near his property measured about nine metres in depth.
Trans Mountain is drilling horizontally, and work crews have told Rindt it could take about a year for remediation.
