If Ontario’s extended lockdown is stretched out yet again, it could spell disaster for the province’s golf industry, the owner of Almaguin Highlands Golf and Country Club in Katrine says. There is talk that suggests the lockdown could be extended another two weeks beyond the May 20 end date, and even as much as another 30 days. A prolonged shutdown of golf and other tourism industries could create a domino effect throughout the local economy, the director of Almaguin Community Economic Development says.
