Thunder Bay golf course remained open Saturday amid confusion over order
Dragon Hills Golf Course owner says provincial order lacked clarity
April 19, 2021 By tbnewswatch.com
A Thunder Bay golf course remained open for play Saturday, in spite of the Ontario government’s lockdown order that went into effect just after midnight on Friday. The owner of Dragon Hills Golf Course said Premier Ford’s announcement on Friday to extend the stay-at-home order until at least May 20 lacked clarity, leaving him to believe the order took effect on Monday. Club owners in the area say they “don’t get” the government’s reasoning for shutting down golf, noting the game is an activity that can be played safely.
