Charged Tillsonburg golf course could face fine as high as $10 million if convicted
May 1, 2021 By London Free Press
The Bridges at Tillsonburg could be facing a fine as high as $10 million if convicted after opening the past week in defiance of Ontario’s extended stay-at-home order. The southern Ontario golf course was formally charged Thursday for violating the Reopening Ontario Act. Police were also taking pictures of golfers and making notes during the week. A roadside sign warned golfers of a possible $750 fine for disobeying the lockdown order. The case against The Bridges is expected to be heard June 3 before the Ontario Court of Justice.
