Illegally open for almost a week, Tillsonburg golf course is finally charged
Case will be heard June 3 at Ontario Court of Justice

After being illegally open for almost a week, The Bridges at Tillsonburg has finally been charged under the Reopening of Ontario Act. The rogue southern Ontario golf course defied the province’s extended stay-at-home order – which forced all Ontario golf courses to shut down until at least May 20 – and opened for play this week, beginning on Saturday.
Police had been monitoring matters since the weekend, but laid no charges until this morning. No fine amount has been disclosed, and the investigation is continuing.
The issue will be heard June 3 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock.
Tee times were booked solid last weekend, and the course continued to be busy through the week.
