Minto council supports Brampton resolution for reopening golf in Ontario
May 7, 2021 By Wellington Advertiser

Town council in Minto, Ont. is supporting a resolution from the City of Brampton, which calls on the provincial government to lift its ban on golf and other outdoor recreation activities. Golf has been outlawed in Ontario since April 17 when the government extended its stay-at-home order until at least May 20. A Minto councillor also noted that Pike Lake Golf Centre is one of the community’s largest taxpayers, but was forced to lay off several employees. Restoring golf is a way to help such an important employer, he added.
