NGA president says golf contributes to health, economy

The continued lockdown of golf in Ontario is putting the survival of the province’s northern golf courses in jeopardy, the president of the Northern Golf Association says. Archie Berube has written to the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities, asking for its support to seek removal of current restrictions that pertain to golf. He says not only has golf been safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the game is a contributor to the health and economy of Northern Ontario.
