Restricted access to Orillia sports complex during lockdown frustrates athletes
Athletes want to practise to prepare for upcoming seasons

Concerned about attracting large public gatherings during the Ontario-wide COVID-19 lockdown, access to the artificial turf field at the West Orillia Sports Complex has been restricted by the city. The measure isn’t sitting well with local athletes who wish to practise for their scheduled post-lockdown season starts. Lights are not operational during the lockdown, which has frustrated athletes who wish to practise in the evening hours.
