Walking barefoot on turf has health benefits: study

July 16, 2018 – Research suggests that walking barefoot on turfgrass is beneficial and boosts both physical and mental health among human beings. The research suggests that direct physical contact with the ground might have beneficial physiological effects because the earth’s surface has a negative charge and is constantly generating electrons that could neutralize free radicals, acting as antioxidants.
