Wales could consider country-wide ban on artificial turf residential lawns
Reports cite toxicity, wildlife hindrances and other environmental concerns

Wales could be considering a country-wide ban on the installation of synthetic turf lawns. Its climate change minister says reports of toxicity among artificial turf lawns is alarming. Another government official says artificial turf hinders the habitat of worms and other insects and cites other environmental concerns such as the leaching of microplastics.
