Artificial turf field gets green light in spite of environmental concerns
Victoria council votes 6-1 to install field at Topaz Park

A new artificial turf field will be installed at Victoria’s Topaz Park in spite of a number of environmental concerns that threatened to derail the project. City council voted 6-1 to proceed with the $4.2-million project amid concerns that another artificial field in the city was losing its fibres that were subsequently being washed into a nearby creek.
