Vancouver facing another spring with uphill battle to control Canada geese populations

One bird can produce 1 kg of poop a day

Vancouver’s annual spring battle with Canada goose populations is off to another start. Various strategies to control geese populations have been adopted over the years, but bird numbers continue to increase. One goose can produce a kilogram of excrement a day. Conservationists are promoting birth control and better landscaping as the best ways to keep populations under control.
