Upgrades to sports stadium in Thunder Bay more expensive than originally expected

Artificial turf surface to be replaced

Upgrades to Fort William Stadium in Thunder Bay will cost almost $5 million – a figure notably more than originally estimated. Work is to include replacement of the stadium’s artificial turf surface and its surrounding rubber track. The surfaces were installed 12 years ago and have reached the end of their useful life.
