New artificial turf will be installed as well as a new scoreboard and a redeveloped track at Fort William Stadium and Legion Track in Thunder Bay, Ont. The upgrades, aided by a $500,000 investment from FedNor, will help the city to attract more upper tier sporting events. The total cost of the project is $2.3 million, for which the city and the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund are providing the remainder.
