Survey suggests Manitoba government ‘out of step’ with public on pesticide issues
More than half surveyed want restrictions to remain

Manitoba’s efforts to loosen restrictions on cosmetic pesticides has created a divide in the province, according to a recent poll commissioned by Winnipeg’s social planning council. About 52 per cent of those surveyed say they’d prefer existing pesticide restrictions remain in place. An official with the social planning council said the poll results indicate the provincial government is out of step with public opinion.
