Snowmobilers using Carrot River, Sask.’s Pasquia Golf Course as a sledding ground may be unwittingly causing damage to the turf. A course official said snowmobiles pack down snow, suffocating the turf below and causing it to yellow by the spring. Although Pasquia Regional Park remains open during the winter months, it isn’t meant to be used by snowmobilers.
