Prince Albert, Sask.-area golf courses welcome winter’s above average snow cover
Last winter was a much drier season

The more abundant snow experienced in Saskatchewan this winter has golf courses in the Prince Albert area praising the virtues of the cover. The more-than-average amount of snow is giving golf course turf the protection it needs to get through the winter. Course officials say as long as snow melt in the early spring is a slow process, it will prevent standing water. By contrast, last winter was drier than usual.
